About us

Like every family, we have our own recipes. For almost one hundred years, they’ve included not just biscuits and cakes, but also kindness, hospitality, and care.

After Luigi “Bigio” Milesi, who shaped the very first shortcrust smile, his son Giuseppe “Bepi” Milesi carried on the legacy. With the same care, he grew the pastry shop, opened the restaurant, and created the hotel—all with one simple idea: to make people feel good.

Now it’s our turn: Luigi (yes, another one!), Roberta and Francesca. Luigi is in the lab, among molds and ovens. Francesca manages the hotel, and Roberta takes care of the pastry shop. And soon, the next generation will join in, with a niece ready to  write the next chapters of the Milesi story.

We are three siblings united by the same project: to keep tradition alive. Bepi left us with his wisdom, a couple of tricks of the trade, and a motto more precious than any recipe: “Try. Even if you fail. But always try with your heart.

This page is called “About us.” And that’s exactly who we are: a family working side by side, trying every day to make others feel a little more at home—just like the scent of fresh cookies can do. If you’re nearby, just follow the scent—you may not want to leave.

The Biscuit of San Pellegrino

We call it “il Bigio”, almost like a dear friend.

For nearly a hundred years, this biscuit has been part of every welcome: you’ll find it at breakfast, in your room, even decorating the wallpaper. A golden, buttery half-moon is our sweetest way of saying welcome.

The smile of the marionettes

Luigi “Bigio” Milesi, both puppeteer and pastry chef, used to charm audiences with his biscuits.
Today, his marionettes remain here, between the pastry shop and the hotel, reminding us that sweetness comes from hands that shape dough and craft smiles with a buttery half-moon.
